Under such viewpoints, the survey in Vietnam is conducted to Co.opmart, the Vietnam’s largest chain store, and the stores are covering the whole country. Based on the theoretical review and preliminary research on food culture and chain store management, the following five perspectives are selected to complete the interview survey. There are “Corporate policy which is relating to Co.opmart’s regional food culture management”, “Contents and specific issues in product localization and regional product-buying”, “Contents and specific issues of developing regional food industries”, “The reasons for managing regional food culture by prefecture unit”, “Contents and issues to balance the merit of chain store management with regional food culture adaptation”.\nAs a result, Co.opmart is conducting product localization and regional product-buying in food business management, however, it became clearly that due to the delay in the development of food distribution business, it is the largest issue that Vietnamese chain stores cannot fully buy or sell regional food products.
