On the other hand, the precise finish of Japanese traditional crafts are being reevaluated and the expectations for overseas demand are increasing. Contemporary consumers have highly evaluated products manufactured in collaboration with designers. In contrast, currently crafts and design educations at universities are independent. They are offered as different courses or even different departments. Consequently, the relationship between traditional craft education and design education at universities must be assessed to develop future crafts and design education methods.
