It has been proved that reading aloud conventional illustrated books of paper to children has a positive influence on the development of children’s imagination, development of emotion, and improvement of sociality. In order to verify whether the affirmative effects can be also obtained by reading aloud of digital illustrated books, we read aloud digital illustrated books to elementary school students of lower grades. They silently read digital illustrated books, too. We asked them that which one was more enjoyable, more understanding of contents, or easier to concentrate.
