Fromhistorical and political viewpoints, it is the French conquest of Algeria in 1830 that enabled Delacroix to intrude into a harem to watchand sketch these women. The present paper is the latter part of tne above-mentioned study, in which an Algerian-French writer, Leila Sebbar's \"Sherazade\" trilogy is examined in the relation of Odalisque paintings.
