There are two approaches: one is to emphasize that the memory of Huang Ti was broken by the influence of the Nationalism and the other believes the memory has been continuous. By discussing the narratives and images of Huang Ti in the history textbooks published during the early 20th century, this article shifts the focus of studying Huang Ti from a man in the political world to the one in the everyday world.
