| 内容記述 | こんにち世界の各地で、芸術祭や音楽祭、フェスティバルなどさまざまなイベントが開催されているが、これらの多くは、地域との関わりや地域文化の一部として企画、運営、実施されている。学問領域においても、芸術祭や音楽フェスティバルなどと、地域の文化、住民、経済とのかかわりに注目する研究は珍しくない。一方で、音楽コンクール（とくに国際音楽コンクール）は音楽文化の向上や若い才能の発掘といった、いわゆる「純音楽的」目的を開催理念に掲げるものが多く、地域社会との共生や地域文化への貢献といった視点から、コンクールの運営を考察したり評価したりする研究はほとんど行われてこなかった。 本研究は、日本において国際音楽コンクールが存続、発展していくための環境づくりに必要な条件を問いながら、これまで注目されてこなかった地域で国際音楽コンクールを開催する意義を浮かび上がらせ、両者の相互発展の可能性を考察する。地方都市でありがなら、2つの国際音楽コンクールが開催されている浜松市に着目し、浜松市、並びに浜松市と産業構造等が似た海外都市のコンクールを調査することで、地域で国際コンクールを継続していくための条件とその意義を明らかにする。 |

| 内容記述 | Today, numerous artistic events such as art festivals, exhibitions, music festivals, concerts are held in various parts of the world, and many of these are planned and carried out in order to promote regional culture, or to vitalize the local communities. In the field of academic study, a considerable number of studies have been devoted to examine the relationship among art festivals and local culture, residents, and economy. On the other hand, researchers seem to have paid less attention to the music competitions, especially “international” competitions, normally considered to have the commonly called "purely musical" purpose, such as discovering young talent and help to launch international careers, or improving artistic standard. In fact, little research has been done to consider or evaluate the competition from the perspective of contribution to local society. This paper focuses on the provincial city of Hamamatsu, where two international music competitions are held, by comparing the competitions in foreign cities with similar industrial structures to Hamamatsu, namely Hannover and Glasgow, and discusses the possibility of mutually beneficial relationship between the competitions and community. |
