高齢者における過去および現在のソーシャル・サポートと、自尊感情、および主観的幸福感との関連性について検討した。目答者は60歳以上の成人計92名であった。ソーシャル・サポートに関する質問は、受容と提供にかかわる対人関係の存在および満足度の側面を設けた。相関分析では、過去および現在のソーシャル・サポートは、ともに自尊感情や主観的幸福感と正の関係を示した。パス解析により、過去のソーシャル・サポートに対する満足度は、現在のソーシャル・サポートとは独立に自尊感情や主観的幸視感に影響することが示された。本研究の結果は、高齢者のソーシャル・サポートの意義を検討する場合に、現在のみならず過去のソーシャル・サポートをも考慮すべきことを示している。 |

We examined the relationships between past and present social support, self-esteem, and subjective feelings of well-being in elderly people. Ninety-two adults over 60 years completed a questionnaire. Items on social support inquired the number, as well as the degree of satisfaction with people who give and receive support in different situations. Correlational analysis indicated that both past and present social support correlated with self-esteem, and subjective feelings of well-being. Path analysis showed that satisfaction with past social support had a positive effect on subjective feelings of well-being, independently of present social support. These results demonstrate the importance of considering past, as well as present social support, when analyzing the effects of social support on the well-being of elderly people. |
